Original Recycled Timber A-Frame Chalkboard
Constructed form old fence palings, this rustic A-Frame Chalkboard is an absolute charm. It’s relatively lightweight at approx 6kg and easy to move from inside to out.
Once we have deconstructed the fence and removed all the nails, we rip the paling down to 45mm wide. Then the basic frame is cut to the set dimensions and the edges of the timber are de-burred in order to leave a smooth finish to the touch. As soon as the frame is assembled both the face and the back get sanded leaving just the right rustic look before a coat of all natural oil is applied bringing out the rich tones of the timber.
We use high quality chalkboard paint with a gritty texture to ensure the chalk sticks firmly to the 3mm MDF board.
